Beard soap or beard shampoo – What are the differences?

While beard shampoo is a liquid product, beard soap comes in the form of a solid bar; in principle, it is a solid beard shampoo. Naturally, the application is quite different - you must first work the beard soap into a lather with warm water. Beard shampoo is optimally suited for daily use. While beard soap is also suitable for daily use, it is especially used for coarser dirt. After a motorcycle trip, a festival visit, or sports outside in the rain, beard soap is definitely the optimal product!

From what length is beard soap recommended?

The longer your beard is, the more prone it is to dirt and the more care it requires. Accordingly, we recommend using beard soap from a length of 3 cm and up. Whether you use beard shampoo or beard soap is somewhat a matter of personal preference. However, many men have better experiences with beard soap, especially with longer or unruly beard hair as well as heavier dirt.

What are the advantages of beard soap?

Beard soap cleans your beard particularly thoroughly. If you are active outdoors a lot, but also if you like using styling products such as pomade or beard wax, beard soap guarantees optimal cleaning. Which ingredients are contained in beard soap?

Beard soaps usually consist of natural ingredients. In addition to vegetable oils, these are mostly fats of animal origin. How often should I wash my beard with beard soap?

Similar to beard shampoo, beard soap can also be used every two to three days. Some men swear by it and do not want any other cleansing product touching their beard. Beard soap is the perfect complement to beard oil and beard balm. If you are more of a beard shampoo type, you can use beard shampoo for regular washing and bring in the beard soap whenever your beard needs a more thorough cleaning.
