The straight razor in black is, alongside our safety razor, the ideal shaver when it comes to a gentle yet thorough shave. This is primarily because we do not use a fixed blade for our straight razor, but rather replaceable razor blades. This is particularly easy to maintain, as you only need to rinse the blade with warm water after shaving, and it does not require as much care as straight razors with fixed blades. The purchase price is also lower. Although you have to change the razor blades every 2-5 shaves depending on your skin type, our straight razor is still characterized by a long service life. The razor blades ensure a very clean shave while still being gentle on the skin, as one razor blade does not irritate the skin as much as five blades, as is common in system razors. Overall, the straight razor is a first-class tool that will bring you and your beard joy for a very long time when used correctly.
There are also differences between straight razors. The most common versions are available with either a fixed blade or replaceable blades. We decided on replaceable blades for our straight razor. This is mainly because a straight razor with a fixed blade requires significantly more maintenance to keep it sharp in the long term and prevent it from becoming dull. If you use our straight razor with replaceable blades, you must replace them after approximately 2-5 shaves. This is important, as otherwise you will be shaving with a dull blade and would therefore be pulling out the beard hairs rather than shaving them off. Using a replaceable razor blade also offers the advantage of a very precise shave, while the blade remains very gentle on the skin. Although our straight razor requires blades that you have to purchase separately, you are provided with a tool that does not cost hundreds of euros to purchase and is suitable for both beginners and advanced users.
