1. Lather up the shaving cream.
2. Apply the lather and let it sit for a moment.
3. Shave at a 30-degree angle in the direction of hair growth, without applying too much pressure.
4. Dry with a shaving towel.

Many people today still use a cartridge razor with a plastic razor head instead of a safety razor with a razor blade. However, the latter offers many advantages. Our safety razors do not use any plastic, which is much better for the environment. Furthermore, it also looks significantly more elegant than a conventional cartridge razor. Cartridge razors use five blades. Logically, this irritates the skin five times as much as a classic shave with a single razor blade. Since plastic razor heads are very expensive, men shave with a dull blade for far too long, which leads to redness, skin irritation, and pimples. This will not happen to you if you use the safety razor correctly. Although you have to change the blades every 2-5 shaves with a safety razor because the razor blade becomes dull faster, they are significantly more cost-efficient than a plastic razor head. With the safety razor from Störtebekker, nothing stands in the way of a clean and efficient shave from now on.
There are safety razors with two systems - either with a closed comb or an open comb. But which is the best choice for you? The open comb usually has a serrated guard, which causes the razor blade to protrude further. Therefore, it is preferred for long beards. The potential for injury is correspondingly higher, and it requires experienced handling if you use a safety razor with an open comb. A closed comb has a smooth guard. This means the razor blade sits further inside the safety razor. We at Störtebekker have deliberately opted for a safety razor with a closed comb. This is ideally suited for beginners of classic shaving because you are less likely to cut yourself, and the closed comb is more forgiving of mistakes during shaving. Because the blade does not protrude as far, the closed comb is also somewhat gentler on the skin than a safety razor with an open comb.
